This purse has significant cultural representation of the historic Mohawk iron workers who coined the name “sky walkers” due to their bravery of heights while building much of the high rises in New York, including the original Twin Towers, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler building, and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and many more. This purse is my idea of the feeling of what it was like for some of these men to be up high and features an eagle flying near by to show the significance of what this may have felt like.
Made on white leather with blue leather fringe and accents.
A fully tooled strap with eagle feathers
Tooled scenery of an ironworker and his view over the city
Bag measurements 12 × 12 inches
Strap measurement 34 inches
10 ½ inch zipper opening
Open back pocket
Silver hardware
Hand painted, hand tooled
This is a truly one of a kind bag that can be worn or displayed as art
